Ghirardelli

This past weekend, my friends and I visited the new Ghirardelli shop in Faneuil Hall. After getting over my San Francisco nostalgia, I fell in love with this place.

I split a brownie sundae (for old time sake) and it was absolutely delicious. My friends got brownie sundaes and the sea salt hot chocolate. I don't usually like hot fudge, but their sauce was literally melted chocolate- beyond delicious.

My only complaint is the somewhat meager menu. I would have loved to see more baked goods and sundae options. But for a just opened place, it was excellent.

Washington DC

Last week, I attended the National High School Journalism Convention in Washington DC with my entire publication

This was definitely was of the greatest trips ever. I loved getting to know everyone on the staff and learned SO much about photojournalism, multimedia editing, social media and journalism in general.

Some of the highlights were meeting Bob Woodward, 2 am truth or dare with the staff, desserts in Georgetown, and making friends with people from publications all over America!

Halloweekend

Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday and as part of my denial-that-it's-over process, I thought I'd share my Halloweekend!

For my masquerade concert I was the Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz, and my other orchestra officers were the Wicked Witch, Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, Galinda, and the Wizard.

For my senior Halloween, I was a monkey (definitely my favorite).

For our senior Halloween party, Nina and I were Thing 1 and Thing 2.

Weekends in Boston

Neighborhood's Coffee and Crepes is probably the cutest little cafe in all of Boston. Their crepes are delicious and made fresh, I got pesto chicken for dinner and lemon sugar for dessert.

I don't even know where to begin with SoWa Open Market. It's a vintage market + food truck festival + craft market + farmers market all within a few blocks in South Boston. I bought a fedora, a cute skeleton matchbook, a bouquet of sunflowers for Myra and hand-drawn birthday cards.

Portraits

Ever since I got my first camera when I was thirteen, my photography was limited to photos of my friends and me goofing off and a few galleries of school events for my student press network.

Recently, however, I've been getting into portrait and fashion photography, which are definitely fields I hope to explore more!
